Fabulous game from a fired-up team! Ferocious defense! Near-flawless offensive movement. Fearless play against a team determined to bump and grind.
Whew! I'm stoked.
Admit it, you never guessed the missing points would come from Nika, right?
And despite missing 3s she normally makes at a high rate, Q dazzled us with a smooth huge-step slash that looked like the 2nd coming of Aubrey. She's picking up some of the rebounding slack. And she looked a lot less lost on defense then heretofore.
And Ice showed us some of the things we've been waiting for, especially only 3 fouls in 22 minutes of rough play under the basket. And she held off from taking those 3-point shots.
Where's my shades? Which other team is now looking forward with confidence to playing our girls? You don't have to out-rebound your opponents if you shoot 54% and score 89 points per game (which they've don in the last 5 games, not counting Toronto).
