Paving Work to Cause Delays Near UConn This Week

Those heading to the University Connecticut's main and Depot campuses could experience some delays on and near Route 44 for a good chunk of the week.

Connecticut Water Co. has announced that milling and final paving work on Route 195 in Mansfield between the intersection with Route 44 (the Four Corners area) and Mansfield Supply, and Route 44 from the Route 195 intersection and Jensen’s Rolling Hills Community began at 4 a.m. on Monday.

Paving began on Route 195 at Four Corners and crews will be working south toward the main UConn campus, utility officials said.

Work hours are scheduled for 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. and paving is expected to be completed Thursday morning, Connecticut Water officials said.
