OT -- Jo Jo White dies at age 71

Former Boston Celtic Jo Jo White dies at 71 after battle with cancer

The Hall of Famer was a seven-time All-Star with the Celtics, and was MVP of the 1976 NBA Finals

One classy, stylish, player - a real cornerstone of those 70's teams. Played 60 out 63 minutes in that classic triple OT win vs Phoenix in the '76 championship.

Had one of the best stop and pop jumpers off the break I ever saw - I can hear Johnny Most now...!

Great person off the court too.....love JoJo - RIP Mr. White.

When I read of his passing I immediately remembered his ultra smooth pull-up jumpers...
reminded me of a slightly shorter Ray Allen. No threes back in Jo Jo's day but there is no doubt he would have mastered that too.

I can still see Jo Jo pulling up for his jumper. I wasn't a Celtic fan, but I certainly respected him. RIP!
