Has a real fast runner. Strake Jesuit is the HS of former UConn player Mike LeBlanc. LeBlanc had a HS teammate who also played bball at UConn, Jake Voskuhl.

Matt Boling aka ‘The boogie man’ the fastest high school sprinter ever. He also holds the high school record for the 200. He randomly competed in a long jump event and posted the 7th best long jump of all time. He’s like the Lebron James of Track. He’ll be on the US Olympic team.

For some perspective
I remember when 10.0 in the 100m was a big deal in open track.almost like the 4 minute mile barrier.once was.
Now HS kids are doing 9.98 , that’s amazing .
Usain Bolts 2016 time was 9.81 his slowest , his best of his 3 Golds was an insane 9.61.
This kids time would have placed him 7th in the 2016 Olympics.

Well, he's the only high school kid ever to go sub 10 seconds and it's wind aided.

This kid is unbelievable, also fast as hell in the 200 and 400 and has the 7th best long jump ever in high school. He's already got 4 of the events on lockdown for the Decathlon but he seems like too talented a sprinter to go that route.

He’s also a good high jumper, he jumped 6’7 as a sophomore before he stopped competing in the event. He would be a legendary decathlon athlete. He would dominate day one events. But you’re right the big sponsorship money is in sprinting. I would bet he goes that route.

How has nobody mentioned he's white?

It reminds me of a story Cris Collinsworth used to tell. At the 1976 Florida State HS track 100m championship, he talked about his brother or family being in the crowd and telling people to "bet on the white guy". Said something to the effect that they responded "to come in last?". He won. Ran a 10.0 FHSAA.org | Cris Collinsworth

Collinsworth 10.00 seconds is for a 100 yard dash time, not 100 meters. Big difference.

Pretty much impossible to correlate times between those two distances.

I wonder what the thinking is about going to college when you’re a once in a generation “small sport” athlete like this. He would absolutely be able to go pro, get a multimillion dollar shoe deal and could spend all his time training if he didn’t go to school. By going to school he might be costing himself money, he’s giving up training time, years of income generation, he’s risking injury, under performance, etc.

They all go to college.

Kid just started doing the 100 meter dash this year and he's breaking national records...
