I'm taking the OP to mean mixed drinks. I don't discriminate, so I love beer and cider, but there's already a whole thread of those; and I love whiskey, but there's already a whole thread on that, too; and I also love wine, but that should have it's own thread, too, if we're going there.

I'm a sucker for a great margarita, especially the ones I make; but our latest favorite is the version of French 75 that they serve at Lüke in New Orleans, which we've started making for gatherings at our house:


1 ½ oz cognac
1 oz triple sec
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon egg white.
Shake hard and strain to glass, top w/2 oz champagne
Garnish: Brandied cherry
