The B1G must be really excited about the Scarlet Knights arrival.

Yeah, really excited. Like the folks in London were when the German Luftwaffe launched the Blitz.

Philip Nelson is charged with one count of first-degree assault and one count of third-degree assault.

The hits just keep on coming. Ugh!

Blessings and prayers for Kolstad and family.

I'd consider it much worse if he was anything other than a recruit / transfer. He previously played for Minnesota, apparently. Rutgers was supposed to deny the transfer (assuming, as it appears, he doesn't have a history of arrests)??

Unless he is exonerated, which doesn't look likely with video evidence, then he needs to disappear from Rutgers immediately. For this, no second chances are deserved.

Terrible news. I live in Minneapolis and this is just heartbreaking. These guys knew each other and played against each other in high school. My prayers are with the Kolstad family. It is scary to think that in a moment that lasted 5-10 seconds, lives will be impacted forever.
