This is Verducci's fault. We've been seeing the QB all season turn his back to the field on fake handoffs--to little effect. And now you're doing it on a throw to the flat?

Shirreffs is being put into a position to fail. This is a coaching problem, not a player problem.

That throw was perfectly on the mark if he had thrown it a split second sooner.

Throw velocity was fine. It was thrown late. You could tell because the receiver was already stopped on his route. It's a coaching problem.
