It is good news in that I am still holding out hope that our stay in the Big East will be very short lived, so this give us one more 'bridge' season until we get things figure out with our conference situation. It will give us one more year of key conference games against a schedule of Villanova, Georgetown, Notre Dame, etc instead of East Carolina, Tulane, etc.

If I can draw any positive from this at all, I would say that at least this may positively influence the 1-year tv contract negotiation for the Big East. The reason why that is important is because the 1-year contract price will invariably affect the price of the longer term contract that follows after the departure of ND, Ville, Rutty, and the C-7...
