New logo leaked?

The current logo is actually a Samoyed, not a Husky...

Very true, I had wondered about that. Just figured it was a long haired college dog from the late 60s.

Well, Geno seems to like it.

In a press release issue Thursday, head women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma said: "This logo is everything that a husky is supposed to be – powerful, aggressive, determined," he says. "It is looking right through you and saying 'Do not mess with me.' This is a streamlined, fighting dog, and I cannot wait for it to be on our uniforms and court."

Yeah, some public relations hack wrote that and attributed it to Geno. You've heard him speak. Read the quote again and then say that Geno actually said it. Well maybe if they had him read it...he probably has something in his contract that they can quote him in these kind of press releases and as a practical matter he doesn't care one way or the other.

I don't like it.....looks too much like the Washington Huskies logo......Jonathan is suppose to be all white with blue eyes......if they redo it in white with the same expression then I will be okay with it.....

I have no idea actually.

My favorite Husky logo is this on. I have 3 UW caps... and this dog is featured on 2 of them. Its not mean or vicious looking.... just your regular calm and collected canine.

Yes it is true.
The new logo leaked, but that was early in its development.
As a puppy logo, it had those accidents you expect with a young logo. But with positive encouragement and consistent training (no swats on the newly fierce snout with the Daily Campus and no rubbing its nostril-less nose in it), the leaking stopped before there were any permanent stains on the designer's monitor. Now the only puddles associated with the new logo are from the tears of UConn's opponents.
