Shockingly great album with Dave Grohl dealing with the deaths of his best friend/Foo drummer Taylor Hawkins and his mother Virginia. Their best effort since Wasting Light over a decade ago. The lyrics are pretty potent as one can imagine when dealing with grief through music. Dave is back on the drums (for the recording, Josh Freese is the new tourning drummer) and the drumming is one of many highlights. A UConn title and a new Foo album have made 2023 just chefs kiss
