Not sure about any of that ancient history, but 3 undefeated teams Uconn teams outside the top 20 let alone outside the top 10, and two one defeat teams that dominated (2000 and 2013) listed way back is a joke.

Not going to bad mouth any of the other teams listed, but the main criteria I see here is to make sure there were not 9 Uconn teams listed in the top twenty (if not 11.)

And 2002, 2009, 2010, and 1995 and then 2000 and 2013. (That 2000 team 4 Olympians, and 2002 had 4 as well - 2001 was probably even better before injuries with 5 olympians)

UConn teams 3 of the top 20. Yeah, that's real. Then the list shoehorns a bunch of great UConn teams further down, like: oops.

If the desire was to get a range of excellent teams recognized (particularly near the top) make it a "top 50 teams other than UConn or Tennessee"

Where is 2009 and 2010? Undefeated teams should be in top 10. Those teams throttled the competition. Undefeated back to back in the Big East should count for something.

This is so bad it is embarrassing. How can they have a team that gets hot to win a championship but has 3 to 6 losses is an all time top team. Certainly not better than a lot of 1 loss teams I can think of. Just to show my fairness, I would also include Baylor's 1 loss team. If they lost that many games, they had flaws, big flaws.

The 2009 UConn team (with Tina, Maya and Renee) beat No. 2 UNC on the road by 30 and never lost a game by single digits, winning both FF games by 20.

And it’s ranked 30th.

Hard to knock 2013 - 2016 as dominating their period. From start of NCAA tournament in 2013 - through NC in 2016 the team lost one early season game in 2014-15.

And how do you then not rank all the undefeated teams top ten - they certainly dominated their seasons.

Or use scoring margin - that would be 'dominance' and put 12 Uconn teams in the top 20 (and the top 7 spots! - would have Baylor LaTech x 3 and Old Dominion round out the top 15 with 3 more Uconn teams.)

It really seems to me that however you want to measure top teams through the years you have to squint really hard and cough a few times before you can come up with a list that does not have Uconn teams dominating the top 20 positions.

Yea, if you are losing games, you're not dominating. This list absolutely needs to be bashed. Along with anyone who tries to defend it.
