Watching game now see how they handle Tennessee's d pressure ... Hope Don Brown is taking notes. I'm guessing they'll open alot of their offense up in a game like this ... No holding back

Tennessee just burned NC State's best corner on that deep route TD. Great throw and catch.

Not a very good kick there. Check out the DT for Tennessee...#98 - Daniel McCullers - 6'6", 377 pounds. And we thought Shamar Stephen was big...

The NC State receivers definitely have speed and Glennon has a good arm. That TE is going to be a tough assignment.

I like their QB and envy their quick pace. That type of up-tempo offense bothered us last year. In year two in this system we should be better. I think we have the horses to run with them.

We have to hit him early, can't allow him to get comfortable....and i don't hurries will do it. He is 6'6" 230 lbs.

Glennon has alllllll day to throw.... I mean all day zero pressure on him. N corners are getting smoked

Wow, now that is separation by a WR and a beautiful deep throw by Tennessee.

I just turned this game on...right before Waggner made the pick on Glennon's 4th dwn throw. Tennessee then goes deep and Bray burns Amerson....Tennessee is not the Tennessee of old...Derek Dooley is fighting for his job...and the best player on Tennessee's offense transferred last week. Now NC State gives up a safety on HUGE pressure...not too impressed with NC State so far.

NC State looked great, then the wheels fell off. 16 points in a few minutes. Tennessee playing with great confidence now.

Their secondary looks like swiss cheese at the moment. The All-American Amerson has been beat badly on 2 occasions. And Glennon is easily rattled when pressured....

NC State just doesn't have much confidence right now. No other way to describe it.

And then two seconds later they hold on a 4th down play - interesting to see the next offensive series...

And it's a ball game again. Quick drive for a score. 22-14.

I think he crossed the line. Should be 29-14. Let's see if they say it's conclusive.

Certainly a close call. I'd be furious if I was a Tennessee fan but at the end of the day, I agree with the halftime guys - too close / uncertain to overturn the call on the field.

Boise St. - Michigan St. tied at 10 right now.

Both teams are playing at such a different speed than what we saw in UMass, it is really difficult to tell. I still think our defense can hang with almost anybody but I'm very cautious about what our offense can accomplish. Their front seven is not that intimidating and Tennessee, not known for their running, is making positive yardage on the ground so we have a chance there. I absolutely think we can compete.

That hurdling play by the MSU running back was sick. No guy that big should be that athletic.

Thinking about this some more. Neither Tennessee or NC State were really known for their defense last year (and neither were we at least from a PPG perspective). The high scoring nature of this game could just be middling defenses.

Both teams look pretty good but our Defense should be able to hang with NC State as long as they are well prepared. We get an extra day to prepare for them so that should help a little bit. And I would guess at least some thought has been given to our game plan for them during August given our opening game against UMass where these guys have probably been 100% focused on their openers.
