Deep team this year, but wondering who we could least afford to lose to foul trouble, injury, whatever.

I feel like it's Sanogo but can you make a case for anyone else?

RJ Cole - Unless Rahsool Diggins is game ready and dynamic out out of the gate, we don't have any other creative guards.

Everyone else on the roster has other people that overlap skills, except our point man.

Sanogo, Cole, and later in the year Hawkins will be the 3 guys we can least afford to lose. With that said, someone always steps up and makes you look stupid with these predictions. I hope Ajax and Akok both make me look especially stupid. That would make us really good. If that's our starting 5 the 2nd half of the year I think it's a good sign.

Cole. If he goes down early I'm not sure we have anyone who can pick up the scoring or distributing day 1. Everyone else while valuable you can adjust the system to work in a backup there

I'm going to say Cole, because Gaffney hasn't shown he can be the man at PG, and Rahsool hasn't show anything at all at this level.
Sanogo isn't far behind, but I think with Whaley & Akok, we can overcome his loss a little better.

Cole without a doubt, followed by whoever becomes our backup PG.

Polley or Hawkins imo, our 3 pt shooting depth is thin. We have depth at ball handler and in the post

I'm going with Martin. It seemed often in his first year, as he went... the team went. He plays tough defense and gets big rebounds and is a wildcard on the scoring end.

Whaley. For his experience, toughness, and fight

For foul trouble, I will say Sanogo.

Though I think RJ will be the straw that stirs the drink, I expect enough improvement and interchangeability with our other 1/2/3 players that we will be OK.

I refuse to speculate about injury as I think that’s bad mojo

Would you rather be forced to:

a) play small with Sanogo out.
b) split PG minutes between Gaffney/Diggins with Cole out.

Between those two, I'd much prefer to go small.

Whaley would be our starting 5 w/ Akok/Johnson/Springs backing him up while those three plus Martin/Polley/Jackson can handle minutes at the 4.

At the very least, going small would allow us to finally play with more pace, something we've been clamoring for a while.

Polley shoots like Giffey did his last year. He'll be two years back from his injury,

This one's easy, SANOGO.

His post-up ability completely changes the dynamic of their half-court offense.
