True but Griner is finding her way. She made great strides between her rookie and sophomore seasons. She's a great kid and I hope she has a lot of success. Of course she's a post player so without the ball in her hand, she's not the one to direct traffic like Dee, or be able to score from everywhere like Maya. Still, wish Brit a long and successful hoops career, and much happiness with her fiancee Glory...Maya out scored AND out rebounded Griner.
Who's surprised really? For WNBA player of the year last year, Griner was never in the equation. It was between two UConn players, Maya won it.
Phoenix won the title, but it wasn't all Griner's doing...there was that other player of the year candidate - what's her name.....you know, the MVP....
