Looks like Texas was holding pocket 9's and the flop just came Ace, King, Queen.
I guess they were so used to everyone in Texas and the Big 12 bowing to their every demand--they've never had anyone tell them no and stand up to them. They burned their bridge to the Pac 10 last year. They thought they had the world at their hands, but now they are stuck. It will be interesting to see if they go back to the Big 12 with their tail between their legs and give up a lot of their power and money. Or do they remain stupidly arrogant and either go independent or go to a conference they really don't want to be in (ACC). Or do they have to give up the LHN completely and go to the Big Ten? Either way, I think they find themselves in a situation they did not expect to be in and are now scrambling.
And Oklahoma put themselves in a tough position. They thought they had the Pac 12 locked up...but obviously not. They have put their demands out in the public today with their demands (Beebe out, Texas giving up a lot). What are they going to do if Texas doesn't give up the power? Maybe Okalahoma and Oklahoma scurry off to the SEC...that is their only other option.
Things are getting very interesting!!!!
