When they offered him the job, Leno should have been gracious. He did nothing but kick Letterman in the nuts, and ignore Carson's legacy. I have no respect for Leno, and haven't watched the Tonight Show since Carson retired.
In high school and college I worked 'till 11:00, got home, and watched Carson until I fell asleep. Bottom line - I don't really care anymore. But I hate Leno for the reasons stated above.
Always was a Letterman guy, but he lost his fastball around 1996. Kimmel is good, Fallon is shockingly good. I never thought he would last, but his show is always solid.
Hollywood Reporter tonight is saying Leno may step aside. Aaaaagain.
Jay's been dead to me for years. Letterman's snark is now grating and his writers haven't produced a decent top ten list in years. Conan is an acquired taste and I've lost that taste. Fallon... meh. Kimmel has some pretty creative stuff. But Ferguson is by far the funniest, IMO.
I like Dave and still watch sometimes. He is a classic and I find his show relaxing at bedtime. Kimmel and Fallon are great. The future is in good hands.
Watched Conan last night and loved it so I am watching again right now. Can't say I enjoyed him much in the past but last night I liked.
