You mean like Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field??Such a sponsor should get naming rights at Rentschler Field.
Maybe if we named it the ESPN Sucks Field they'd get the hint?In Connecticut, we do things backwards. We pay companies like ESPN. All they needed to do was grab us for another conference years ago.
How long is the current deal for? At expiration naming rights could be tied to that no??You mean like Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field??

Okay so it has a way to go yet. But that’s a potential tie in down the road that I think could be leveraged.2030
Just remember that the State of Connecticut owns the Stadium - not UConn.Okay so it has a way to go yet. But that’s a potential tie in down the road that I think could be leveraged.
Correct. Memphis now owns Liberty Stadium I believe.Just remember that the State of Connecticut owns the Stadium - not UConn.
Sure. And they’re the ones that pay the coaching staff’s salary. Everything can be subject to negotiation. It’s an asset. And if that asset can be used to improve the football program and help reverse the flow of red ink in the athletic department, then that would be a worthy investment in my book.Just remember that the State of Connecticut owns the Stadium - not UConn.

Bah, give them naming rights to the end zone. You mean like Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field??
Didn’t they contribute the land as part of the deal? That would be a great idea. Unfortunately we decided to name it PAWSARF and not collect any money. Sad.
Naming rights for a period of time came with the donation of the land for the stadium. I'm not positive but I believe that period of time has expired and Pratt ponied up to extend the rights. That would be a great idea. Unfortunately we decided to name it PAWSARF and not collect any money. Sad.
