Lady Vols vs Texas

Who wins Lady Vols or Texas? Is this the Game, the Lady Vols play up to their potential? Do they continue to win close games at home, even though playing down to their opponents?

IMHO while early in the season, this is an important game for both teams, especially the Lady Vols. Wh

Tennessee, despite their issues, wins a close game. Massey has Tennessee by 7+, Sagarin has Texas by 2+, so one of them will be wrong. It's interesting that these two are so far apart. Sagarin has Tennessee/Texas at #29/#14, respectively, while Massey has them at #7/#22, respectively.

Tenn hasn't played on the road yet. All of those close wins were at home so I'm not really seeing much of a home court advantage.

I'm for any team beating Tennessee.
After visiting their forum, I feel a bit sorry for the team, but the fans deserve to get crushed for how they talk about Geno, Maya and most of all, Maya's mom. It seems kind of a form of negative support, except that they constantly attack their own players and coach's sexual orientation and other stupid things like that.

IF either team could hit their shots this would be an entertaining game to watch But They're Not. Five Minutes in and a total of 7 points for both teams have been scored. 4-3 Vols Lead. Texas has missed a number of layups.

Ugly. They both play the antithesis of UConn offense- little movement, no screening, poor passing, lots of one-on-one, quick shots. I think they're playing with a 10-second shot clock.

16-13 Vols lead at end of 1st Qtr. Texas getting to the line but only shooting 50%. Have missed 3 out of 6 Free throws. Can't do that and win on Lady Vols home court.

Guess you can say the teams are doing better in 2nd Qtr. They've scored 10 points in the 1st 5 minutes. This after Texas scored a quick 5 points to take the lead. 20-19 Vols leads

Refs are keeping the Vols in this game. Lots of home court calls.
