Jim Fuller tweeted Kiah not playing due to sprained ankle.

Hope this team doesn't have to continue to have players miss games due to injuries. Lucky tonight's game is against U C Davis and not Duke.

I guess the walk-on's will get plenty of playing time tonight.

Did Kiah sprain the ankle in practice or during the last game?

Do you think that this injury will force UCONN to slow the game down to keep their players fresher and prevent possible foul trouble ?

possibly - personally, I'd rather see them operate as normally as possible for the first 12 minutes+. Then, if the situation is in hand, use T and Polly early and often.

The problem is if one our players picks up 2 fouls in the first 10 mins then the bench is the 2 walk ons. Now, I still think that UCONN would win this game handily it just leaves little room for the unknown. Could UCONN win the game with BOTH walk ons playing half a game ?

Nine little Huskies, playing oh so great

But one took a tumble, and then there were eight.

Eight little Huskies, but one came up lame

Leaving only seven to continue with the game.

Seven little huskies left in the mix,

But one turned her ankle, and then there were six.

Six little Huskies, left to take the floor

So let’s all cross our fingers, WE CAN’T STAND TO LOSE NO MORE!

Sounds minor, but ... I think part of Kiah's struggles her first two years were some nagging injuries that interrupted her seasons. I hope this is quickly better and she just powers through with the improved play and mental aspects.
