Not sure if this was discussed already but I am fairly certain that these 2 sponsors of Louisville athletics called in some favors to ESPN to protect their stadium investments. How much more exposure is a Saturday afternoon game on ESPN/ABC against FSU for Papa Johns or a prime time game against UNC for KFC? If I were them, I would have thru in some $$$ to protect my investment. UConn/Warde/Herbst can't compete with that kind of corporate buying power. 11th hour phone calls from them were worth a lot more than a call from Jurich.
