This feels key imo
Why on earth would the Big 12 want a bunch of sh^^^y schools that nobody watches? They already screwed up adding UCF.
Welcome | Arizona Board of Regents covers UofA, ASU & NAU (per their website). The meeting is not merely University of Arizona officials so I imagine it is to discuss the future of both the Wildcats and Sun Devils.Looks like AZ is def announcing tmw afternoon then.

They don't want to be in a conference with BYU. Utah is
The missteps of PAC commissioners and presidents of such prestigious universities is staggering. The PAC will make a great case study some day on everything not to do.We’re so screwed. The mass exodus of the Pac will push us out. Whatever. Here’s to hoping the ACC just collapses soon and we can join forces with them and the Big East

NahThey would take AZ, ASU and Utah. That's 16.
I think the “legal advice” statute definitely has to do with the move
Nah
Nothing illegal but there are likely still contractual obligations on withdrawing from the conference. And to use that statute as guise to not draw attention to a potential move though everyone knows what it’s aboutWhat would be illegal about it? The PAC has no media contract left. 2023 is everyone’s last season unless they renew.
