K sat out the 3rd, when Jewell led a comeback. With Seattle down by 3, K just hit an open shot from 23'. 66-66 in the middle of the 4th.

The announcers: "You can't leave her open."

With the shot clock running down, Jewell took Candace and then Nneka off the dribble and hit a fall-away in the lane. Seattle is up in the last minute after trailing by 13 at the half.

Sue took over the 4th with 3 midrange jumpers and a pass out for a 3-pointer by O'Hea.

Seattle wins by 8 with a 50-29 second half. Sue, K, and Jewell had 15 each. Langhorne had 18. K kept them in the game in the 2nd quarter.

I have followed the WNBA since its inception. The caliber of players has greatly advanced. So has the game itself. Every player with talent and drive (barring injuries) makes it, and very often excells. I used to marvel as I watched Janeth Arcain (Houston Comets). She was surrounded by these American All stars but few out-performed her drive. KML has that drive and talent in spades.

K is getting PT in the second quarter in Phoenix tonight. She started with a pull-up jumper, then dribble penetration with a left-handed runner twice, then she gets open in the corner for a three. Four shots, nothing but net, 9 points. She looks like the most offensively gifted player on the team.

K is using the ball fake nicely. She got Griner to bite on one, then drove by her to the rim. Unfortunately, she put the shot up on the glass too hard. A couple of minutes later, the got the defender (Bonner?) to bite on the ball fake and drove to the rim for a left hander. Unfortunately, she missed the shot. But K's repertoire looks good--and she can get off shots inside, interestingly.

K finished with 14, tied for game high with Tokashiki, on 6-10 shooting. She looks very comfortable on offense.
