Not much here, but at least he's still talking about the East:

On conference expansion, across the college sports landscape:

“I think it’s pretty calm,” he said. “People are really spending their time integrating and building.

“All of us have responsibility, now that most of us are in two regions, to build our conferences and build our fan base. We’re feeling really good about the growth and the recognition in the Eastern Corridor (with Rutgers and Maryland). We’ve got a relationship with the (New York) Yankees and we’ve got a lot of alums living in that corridor.”

It does look like the ACC and the B1G will both be in New York...this looks like fun.

Some references from Swofford...he and Delany both look to be going to the media

...Swofford is looking forward to the ACC teaming up next year with an “iconic stadium” and an “iconic franchise” for the Pinstripe Bowl. Not only will an ACC team play a Big Ten team at Yankee Stadium each December as part of the six-year deal, but there will also be ACC signs in the stadium during Yankees games.

....NEW YORK — The ACC traded in Tobacco Road for Times Square on Monday.
Monday was the first official day of ACC membership for Syracuse, Pittsburgh and non-football member Notre Dame. Instead of marking the occasion with a gathering at the league office in Greensboro, N.C., or on the campus of one of the new members, the ACC held a press event at NASDAQ’s Times Square headquarters.

The ACC is now in a New York state of mind.
“It’s the media capital of the world, obviously — a lot of energy here,” ACC commissioner John Swofford said. “With our new membership … we wanted to showcase the Atlantic Coast Conference in New York City and to show that this is a very important part of our new footprint.”

Swofford was joined in Manhattan by Virginia Tech football coach Frank Beamer, Syracuse men’s basketball coach Jim Boeheim, Notre Dame men’s basketball coach Mike Brey, Florida State football coach Jimbo Fisher and Pitt-turned-NFL star Larry Fitzgerald.
After meeting with the press, the six men took part in NASDAQ’s closing bell ceremony.

Interesting - Big Ten is also getting signage in the stadium. Wonder if they will be placed side-by-side.

This is great for us. Let them battle for NY. The first conference to pull the trigger on us will win the war.

Goal #1: Make a constant shower of U-C-O-N-N--- UConn, UConn, UConn !!!! rain down on Yankee Stadium during the Pinstripe Bowl. That would be awesome.

Doesn't sound like competition ... IMO sounds like a partnership between two academically focused conferences... A match made in heaven...

Bb:

Cuse, Pitt, duke, UNC, ville, ND, Indiana, Michigan, Michigan state, osu, maryland, wisc ... Rutgers (just kidding)..those are some challenge games right there

Fb :

Clemson, VT, Florida state, ville.. Michigan, OSU, Michigan state, Penn state, wisc, Nebraska, Rutgers (just kidding)... Great out of conference match ups

ESPN must be foaming at the mouth over scheduling these ACC big10 match ups

On whether the league will expand beyond 14 teams after Maryland and Rutgers join next year: “It’s done for now. We’re 100 percent working with Rutgers and Maryland to build schedules. I thought we were done at 11. We were there for 20 years, so we weren’t triggering change. We sat comfortably at 11 — not that 11 is a great number to schedule with — but we did, and then the world changed a bit. Most people went to 12. That led to Nebraska, and we settled in again. Expansion continued … and so we thought it was important for us to be in two regions.”

Each "state" represents approximately 6,175,000 people. The state of "Willimantic" seems comparable to the states of "Houston" and "Atlanta" in size.

What else can Delaney say? "We aren't done raiding the ACC" while celebrating the Yankee affiliation with Swofford?

Plus he has to make Maryland and Rutgers at least revenue neutral and preferably accretive to get the OK to expand further..

So it was the ACC which brought NASDAQ down.

Should be state of Storrs. I also like that upstate Cali is named after a marginal cola.

This was interesting Butch.
