This is amazing news. You‘re telling me Depaul is willing to tamper and has someone willing to pay big NIL? These dudes might actually win 5-6 conference games.

There needs to be penalties for coaches that reach out to players not in the portal…serious penalties…
I wonder how many of these coaches and players are actually reporting it

To who?

This is where the NCAA could do something without concern of litigation. If they could penalize us twice, including a postseason ban and scholarship reduction, for ridiculous APR (while one school had a decade and a half of faux classes), there is no reason why they can't implement scholarship reductions and postseason bans for tampering.

Of course we know what they will do.

You're aware that Simon Charles is not a legitimate account, right?
No. And I should have known better with Providence, too.

The point about English barking still stands.

And thanks.

It would not shock me if Cal was waving chicken money at him
Would he go back? He was one of the earlier guys to leave for being over recruited or not played.

What English is doing is great! We need someone in a power position to call out the rule-breakers. Everyone knows that tampering is going on to some degree, if not directly, then through third parties. Too many are remaining quiet about , so it’s great to finally see someone of his stature going public!

I think it's great that DePaul is playing hardball, it's good for the Big East. Nobody criticized Pitino when he did the same thing. That guy even poached a player from the champs!
Nobody thinks Pitino is a dirtbag? It is just me?

The problem is that no one names names. It is all suggestion.

Of course, Hurley stole Hauser from Villanova - as everyone knew at the time - so I guess we shouldn't be throwing stones.

Providence is naming names in this instance. It was DePaul.

This is why I like this move by English. "I am bat shii crazy enough to tweet all about it. And see how that works for you."

At least DePaul is trying. If a coach loses a player to DePaul that’s on them.
