When is the last time we benefited from our placement? It seems like we just keep getting hosed.
Last year was a decent matchup on paper against NMSU, then they had the shooting game of their lives.

Iona posted that the game is Friday night. Guessing most local Irish watering holes are happy about that.

So are we the 4 or is Iona? It’s hard to tell by these discussions
We’re the four, but this is also acknowledging we may have drawn the toughest 13 for us.

Uconn vs Pitino, of course this is going to be a primetime game. You can pretty much bank on a 7:00-7:30 start.

Possible matchups vs Iona and VCU. Two of the best pressing teams in the country. And UConn may face both. With no PG and the way they play under pressure I’d love to know how DH will prepare for that scenario.

If we are worried about Iona we have bigger issues. If they don’t get to the sweet 16 then that has to be on Hurley- a large part of it. Those should be two easy wins (in Albany) for a team that was #2 in the country at one point..I think the 4 seed for us and a 2 seed for Xavier shows how much confidence the committee has for Hurley after the last two NCAA tournaments. He needs to earn it

2014 :)

But I concur, no respect for the Big East

Marquette would prefer to be in the Midwest, they're in the East

UConn would prefer to be in the East, they go West

Creighton goes South

X, who arguably was awarded our three seed despite losing Freemantle and not competing with Marquette, gets the Midwest

And PC, our lowest seeded team, gets to stay home

As for the committee, they become contortionists on Selection Sunday, their reasoning changes with every breath they take. they can't admit it's up to committee member preferences

And Duke gets MSG as well Powerful lobby
