That highlight reel was really Impressive re every facet of her game. I was also amazed at how often the passes to KLS were exactly where she likes to start her shooting stroke. And what soft hands she has- in addition to all her other gifts.

I do think some on this board are under-estimating what she will bring to the team. In the games (USA) and highlights I have seen she has a very well rounded game - inside and out, and the release on her shot is as fast as any I have seen from any woman. While Stewart is a unique talent, I think Lou can approach her in terms of impacting the team over the next 4 years. I'm thinking KML with 4 more inches leading to a better inside game and better defense. Add in more willing to drive inside and perhaps a better floor game ... and you have WOW.

Watching this video, she reminds me in many ways,of Breanna coming out of high school. It almost looks nonchalant the way she sets and scores, especially from outside. She shows the same confidence as Breanna, and I do not see any cockyness at all, just like Breanna.Out on a limb, she may be one of the best ever at her position, after she gets four years of the coaching. The best news,is she wants to be special, and like Breanna, she wants to achieve lofty goals, personally and team wise. She is ready to learn, and be taught by the best. All she will need is some muscle and instruction on defense, and we could be seeing another legend. No wonder we are so spoiled!

I hope Katie Lou puts on a few pounds over the summer. She is to thin and may be pushed around near the basket.
Luckily she won't have to be around the basket all that much next year. I'm sure she'll strengthen up over the next couple of years.

She's taller and more athletic than I thought she was, she looks to be a legit 6'3". She'll need to get a lot stronger to work down in the Post in College, but I'm sure the S&C Staff at UConn will handle that. What can't be taught is the quick-release and the smooth stroke, both will serve her well. How's her handle, didn't see much of that on the vid? All in all, she's an impressive player.

Have you seen her workout vid preparing for the US trials last month?

Katie Lou reminds me somewhat of Breanna. She's tall and lean, with a great handle. A better 3 point shooter than Breanna, she also needs to get stronger and improve her individual defense.

Her range is sick, she's unafraid to go inside, and she finishes through contact. WOW!

I'm sorry but when I see clips like this, I think she has a quicker release than KML, just as much accuracy (at least) and is appreciably more mobile as an incoming freshman than KML was as a senior. I know it's only a brief sampling and the talent level may not be the same but there appeared to be a great amount of contact on a number of those plays and she still shot with amazing accuracy after absorbing the contact.

Plus 4" taller than KML.

I like these comments from Christ the King coach Bob Mackey:

"I don't want to say she's a better 3-point shooter (than Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis, who also played at California powerhouse Mater Dei) because I will get my butt handed to me by one of more alumni but they have a pretty good 3-point shooter coming," Mackey said. "I know the best 3-pointer shooter in history just graduated but that kid can shoot. I saw her play as a sophomore and junior, that kid can flat out shoot. She has one of the best 3-point shots I have ever seen. Geno doesn't miss a beat. CD doesn't miss a recruit.

For one year we will get to see in Stewie & KLS what we never got to see with Maya and EDD-can you say magic!
Just imagine if EDD stayed and played with Maya!It could of been 8 final fours with 7 consecutive NC!It is going to be great watching the baton passed down to KLS!

I'm anxious to see her in a game situation. I know she didn't perform well at the McDonald's game but that happens a lot with the elite players. I don't really see her as an EDD but more of an Ann Strother ( 3 point specialist). She really needs to put about 15 pounds on that frame as did Ann. Breanna managed to bulk up the last two years and really had a presence under the basket. It'll be interesting.
