Just curious. Personally, my first games were during the end of Perno's run. It was so amazing seeing JC turn everything around.

Since just before the Big East, late 1970s. Used to listen to games on radio; didn't know what I was listening to. But remember games from small gyms against the likes of Holy Cross or UMass. Most exciting moment back then: Corny Thompson committed to UConn. I seem to remember at the time that Yale was ranked in the top 25 of college football, the Rich Diana team.

Watching Chris Smith play high school basketball is what first drew me to Uconn. I started to become a Uconn fan in the late 80's but it was "The Shot" in 1990 that would cement me as a Husky fan for life.

1977 at age 10. My oldest brother went there and I started watching on TV. I recall Corny, Dulin, Bailey, McKay. Dulin was my favorite, though given my closeness to Middletown it should have been Corny. Also became a men's soccer fan around that time. DeBrito, Comrie, Morrone (both), Myren, Carlos Carlos, etc. Been hooked ever since and also an alum (1990).

Born in 95, started watching in 05 roughly. Didn't become as big a fan as I am today until the 2010-11 team. I was hooked for life ever since Maui that year.

The first Christmas present with a plug I ever received was a clock-radio in 1966. Since it was winter, that meant listening to UConn basketball on WTIC. Also, TIC broadcast Hartford Capitols games from the Eastern Basketball League. I remember Scranton being a big rival.

Born in 1980. My first memories came around 1988-89. I remember exactly where I was and what blanket I was hiding under when Tate made the shot. The whole fam damily sitting on my bedroom floor watching that game. No one knows it but me, but I attended UConn due to the rabid fandom my old man has displayed over the years. Through thick and thin, NIT games and final fours, my love for the blue and white never sours.

First UConn memory is watching an undersized Tim Coles battle Ewing. Always liked Earl Kelley.
same here....Earl was my first favorite player. There was a lady who sat near us who was always yelling "Shoot it, Earl!"

Became a fan cuz Al Weston came from my home town. Loved listening to the radio w the Whelton, Hansen, Abro teams, and then of course Corny/McKay/Aleksinas. Still remember listening to the NCAA game lost to Rutgers in 1976....Uconn was very good then, but Rutgers was obviously awesome.

I also remember the Corny Thompson commitment being epic. I remember watching games at the Field House.

Born in '93, first remember the Elite 8 run in 2002 with Caron and the rise of Emeka and Ben. Was hooked after the '09 run and the rise of Kemba.
