He has guts, confidence (maybe a bit much), athleticism, good form. And he must come back. Just a very, very young man. Coming back = good news.

His confidence is hardly "a bit much". He is a confident shooter but gets down on himself way too much after misses or TOs. His mentality is what keeps him from playing late in games more than his lack of handle.

Coming back from persistent ankle injuries?
Or early lack of confidence and bad turnover?
Or returning next season - we haven't started conference play yet his freshman year, he just got here, surely that can't be what poster is discussing.

We open the Big East slate Saturday on national TV, in case anyone would rather talk about that.

Hope to see him finish his drives to the basket, a bit out of control and tries to put unnecessary english on the ball. He’ll come around, he’s exciting to watch. His confidence goes up when he makes a few baskets, it’s teaching him to keep his attitude up when he misses a few consecutively.

Disagree, a lot. Hawkins’s handle is atrocious. His deficient mentality is a side effect of that, and the first time his lack of confidence showed up was after that bad turnover in OT against Auburn.

Hawk is growing up in front of us. He's still a young kid. IMO-He has set very high standards for himself and he has been humbled a few times at this level of play-Perhaps more than he had expected.

BE play will be a different level of intensity than he's seen so far in his CBB career.. I believe he'll get it figured out sooner rather than later and be a significant contributor by Tournament time. Danny is showing confidence in his game despite bumps along the way. Give him credit for having onions.

He's a young man that needs more experience playing at a higher level and sure he has issues with his handles and turnovers but once all that comes together he will be just fine. I'm excited for this kids future.
