Hard to say. But I know that a ton of free tickets have been given out by the University in various ways.

Last years Nova game had a significant amount of P&W employees in the house.

Between 25 and 30K somewhere unless,

... A bunch of Maine fans make the trip but how many of those can there possibly be?

Seriously, it's Maine not Michigan or BC or even the ugly Orange. A holiday weekend looming and also, it's a dreaded Thursday Night Game! People have to work the next day(or head out for the last warm weather holiday weekend of the year). Gee, looking at it that way, closer to 25K than 30K. But!! UConn will clean their clocks, put up big time numbers on offense and the next home game will be well over 30K. :)

Are we talking actual attendance, announced attendance or the attendance of old men 20 years from now saying they were at the Maine game when we had our first perfect season?
A) 27,801

the top draw last year was Navy at around 33,000 and Villanova brought in around 26K in the opener. 28,500 would be a substantial uptick given timing and its Maine. But, that bodes well for the season. Nice solid whooping will help build momentum.

27,500. I can't go myself and am awaiting for the Marketplace to go live so I can try to sell my tickets. Can't make Thursday night games in Hartford when I have to work to 6 PM in North Jersey.

I'll predict 29,500. But how many will be in their seats by pregame and kickoff? Lets see if we can surpass the Fordham turnout in 2011. That would be nice.

When we include my two seasonticket seats which will be occupied, 30,o74. But, extended forecast for Thursday night is calling for 99% chance of rain. Casual fans won't show up if it rains. Then, its 24,914.
