fact is ... Killings lost a ton from the last Will Brown team and is trying to totally nudge the culture in a different direction. A tough year. BC should be very embarrassed by this result

I let go of any resentment I had for BC a long time ago.... but Albany is 2-7. W.t.f. BC. They had a solid history. It's all forgotten.

As the years go by Gavitt seems to be more of a profit than he ever knew. The northeast needs a major conference that represents northeastern basketball. The home and origin of the sport.

The curse is real. Let's face it. Northeast Basketball belongs in the Northeast. It is not a coincidence that the once proud programs of pitt and syracuse and the perenially awful BCU are all much worse today. football has driven their team buses off the cliff.

Pitt & Cuse do have a major football tradition so don't really blame them. Cuse had Jim Brown, Ernie Davis, Floyd Little. Pitt had Marino and Dorsett, Ditka, Revis, Fitzgerald..we're talking some of the greatest players in football history so Football drives the ship for them just like Basketball should drive UConn ship.

In case we are confused…off a cliff into a pile of green. They each make more money in a year than we will see in 8. The only Ws they are chasing are Washingtons.

People who say stuff like this like we wouldn't jump on the first bus to the P5 are so bizarre to me.

You don’t think boneyard posters know that they make a lot more money than we do on their tv deal?

Yup.

The purpose of the athletic department is to (hopefully) connect your school's name with winning and excellence. It's a marketing tool, and a potentially powerful one.

The northeast P5 schools are happy to just be in the club, but looking at it in terms of prestige earned for the investment, it's not so clear cut.

You are right. BCU athletics are a smashing success in the ACC.

All the schools that screwed their partners have gone backwards in athletic arena, almost no accomplishments since leaving

Especially the school that schemed with the ACC to literally destroy the BEAST. That would be Donna She-Lie-La's Hurricanes

Yes but they don’t want to leave because the money is so much more from football? Is that right?

WHEN ... Texas arrives. I think we are going to get a moment that the most Powerful of the Power 5 starts to look around at these lesser brands and lesser accomplished and say: nope. It is like watching a house with 4 dogs when the dogfood is in their dish. Eventually the Big Dog is going to grab the others food if they don't eat it fast enough or received too much.

What does that have to do with his comment.
Exactly - what fans/think want and know doesn't coincide with what the $ say or what the athletic departments are motivated by these $ to do. We have to hope that ultimately the $hitty product, fan disinterest and disconnection from any rivalry and any of the actual premise of college sports comes around to bite the BCUs of the world in the arse.

The alternative to me seems to be spend your college fan interest time on the conference realignment board plotting for elusive football gravy trains to hell.
