On 4th down, a slow-developing drop-back pass? Again, this coaching staff does not know what the hell they are doing on high-stakes 4th down plays.

This is always the problem with a running QB. They have their brains in 2 different places at once.

Newsome missed the block. Not sure if the play would have worked.

It did look like Shirreffs had a fleeting thought to run the ball and then decided against it because of the clog in the middle. That quick hesitation could have cost a pass being completed. Not positive it would have mattered but it was a problem.

Offensive line and play call blew it. Not his fault for not throwing it up into the wind.

He had plenty of time to make a quick read and decision. You don't get all day every time you drop back to pass. How about all the times he had 5+ seconds to throw the ball and ended up sacked today?

Verducci is not getting it done. Terrible play calling and under utilization of play makers.

Newsome missed the block on the linebacker blitzing, but how do you not figure out a blitz is coming when they have done it all game long on 3 and 4th downs

I can't tell you how insane this game is from the stands. Just coaches calling the play in 20 seconds late, letting D sub, running dumb plays, not threatening vertically. Players snapping ball @2 seconds, not able to evaluate defense, letting D get set plays called.

Like watching a JV high school game.

To their credit, players making the best(for the most part) or horrendous coaching

It pains me to say it but we aren't well coached, we are totally disorganized and it's coming from the coaches.

They can't stop USF on D...this game is likely toast

Pathetic
I think the results support the fact that the coaches have done a nice job of developing the players, but I don't think the coaches have grown in terms of their game day decisions. The clock management, wasted timeouts, questionable play calls in the Red zone/short yardage situations.... I still feel good about this staff in terms of the big picture, but this is definitely an issue.

LB was spying Newsome, when he stayed in to block LB came on a delayed blitz. But there was another blitzer coming from the other side, unblocked as well. Shirreff's held the ball too long and would have been sacked either way.

This is the first time this season I've seen this team quit in a game....

We're finished. That play just buried us six feet under. To anyone currently at the game: please defecate on Diaco's car on your way out for me.
