Would seems a series with Pitt and Virginia are the most likely options.
A Pitt H&A with a visit to newly christened Acrisure Stadium (Heinz) and the underrated city of Pittsburgh would be great. As some UVA games with Liberty are potentially being rescheduled due to the latter's move to some conference, the Wahoos are a good possibility. Still have a bad taste lingering from UConn's last game in Charlottesville.

Oh, and what conference are we in?

Yeah, look at who we have been scheduling, highs and middles and low games.... You must have issue with entire approach taken so far because in case you didn't notice we have been scheduling some heavy hitters already. Adding a game vs VT or Miami would hardly be out of line with what AD David Benedict has already set on the table.

IMO scheduling more P5s should provide us with a recruiting advantage in the transfer portal vs any other non P5 and the lower tier P5s. We are always going to have an uphill battle to win P5 recruiting out of high school, with the exception of local nuggets. No reason why we can’t be a target destination for many very good P5 transfers.

Scheduling a home-and-home with Pitt does present a slight issue with Pitt having road OOC games scheduled up to 2027 which is the one year UConn does not need a home P5 opponent (Ole Miss, Syracuse and UNC... plus Army and Temple... that's already as good a home schedule as we could dream of in the current config... throw in an FCS game).

2028/2029 look great for Pitt coming to PAWS/Rent though.

2025 Miami coming to East Hartford would be amazing... unlikely, but fits both team's schedules... they visit Temple next year so it's not like they never come up north OOC. Plus, Miami (at least with this year's recruiting class) is trending up tremendously. I'd also keep an eye on 2025 for Georgia Tech. Florida State is also available for OOC game on road in 2025 (they are at florida...but that doesn't usually stop them from scheduling second road game)... Benedict would need to do some wizardry to get that, though.

How about a pay day game with FSU or Miami?
I don’t know that we can afford to pay them enough to make the trip East Hartford worthwhile.

Miami still owes us one, we went there.
I believe that was part of the Big East entry deal, UConn was supposed to play all member teams on the road once prior to entry. The full circuit didn't finish when UConn entered the conference early.

Neither. I want to play 6 P5s a year.

Unless you're an indy rhyming with Yoder Lame, it ain't happening. I want a pony.

BYU, even with a massive geographical advantage to us in the West, has 5 this year. They had 7 in '21, but that's after 0 in '20 and 4 in '19.

ODU fits the model of regional, helping recruiting, and not a buy game. It beats any MAC team that isn't Buffalo, any AAC team that isn't Temple.

ODU is a good get. Decent program. Close enough drive. Great recruiting area. And allows us to see our transfers in person

Scheduling needs going forward (#of P5 games already scheduled)

2024 (3) : FCS home game, P5 road game (home and home)

2025 (3): P5 home game (home and home)

2026 (4): UMass home, P5 home game (home and home)

2027 (3): FCS home game, UMass road game, 2 P5 road games (both home and homes)

2028 (3): 2 P5 home games (both home and homes), UMass home game, FCS home game, P5 road game (home and home)

With this set up, we would have seven home games from 2027-28.

Starting in 2029, the goal should be:
5 P5 every year (at least two at home)
Army every year
UMass every year
FCS every year
Temple/Buffalo every year
2 MW teams every year
USF/ECU every year

The home slate in 2024 and 2025 is brutal...I know BYU was supposed to on there I believe in 2025 but man, good luck selling season tickets.

If we're winning consistently by then people will come.

It depends if they jack up the prices or not. Season tickets are so cheap now that it's a no-brainer for anyone with a lukewarm interest in UConn football.

They still require the donation for most seats? I haven't looked in years. Try to buy singles to a couple games a year. I do miss the blue parking pass though.

They only require seat donations for the top three tiers, I believe, which are club, lower chairbacks and upper chairbacks. All the other packages consist of only the ticket price.

The top three tiers do include a complimentary blue parking pass, though!
