It was 1985 the entire time he was arguing it, McHale wasn't in the top 23 for MVP voting and wasn't in contention for defensive player of the year. Now he's changed it to 1986, McHale finished tied for 13th in MVP voting and wasn't in contention for defensive player of the year. He keeps changing the goalposts and he's still way off, this is really stupid.

McHale was 4th in the MVP voting in '87, but even here, upstater is a moron:

"But again, McHale injured his achilles late in 86 and then broke his foot in 87. So I'm not even talking about that McHale."

You are lying. This is the first time you mentioned this timeline.

Liar.
Okay he's back to the year 85-86, the year Bird won MVP and McHale finished tied for 13th in MVP voting and wasn't in contention for defensive player of the year despite upstater claiming McHale finished 4th in MVP voting and won defensive player of the year.

Dude I have directly quoted you a bunch of times. I've seen people not admitting they are wrong many times but this is getting ridiculous.

He once claimed to see something Edsall did in a TV broadcast and he insisted he saw it even after I uploaded frame-by-frame proof it was NOT on the broadcast.

Its pretty obvious we are dealing with a form of mental illness and I am starting to feel really bad about teasing him.

I'm done.

And McHale finished 5th for defensive player of the year, never winning the award as upstater claims. You have to try really hard to be wrong as much as upstater is. It's entertaining watching him burying himself more and more but I need to get back to work.

Bull. Total misrepresentation. You're a liar.

I wrote for a period in 1985 about McHale's dominance, and I especially highlighted the 1985 Finals.

Chuck Daly obviously agrees with me.

As for MVP I was wrong. I thought I read it was 1986 in an article I was just reading. It was 1986-1987 that he finished 4th in MVP behind Magic, Bird and Michael Jordan. He was also Defensive Player of the Year.

It's right in the PF thread. You are brain-damaged. Crazy.

Go read it. You even posted it in this thread. Whata nutcase.

I wrote "for a period in 1985." Then I was asked what was the period. I wrote the 1985 Finals especially.

Your lack of reading comprehension is on display here as well for everyone to see in the discussion of the Patriots and Deflategate.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_McHale_(basketball)

McHale was named to the All-NBA First Team, was named the NBA's best defensive player by the league's coaches, and finished fourth in the Most Valuable Player voting behind Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, and teammate, Larry Bird.

It is probably wrong, but that's where I got the info.

You really do seem mentaly ill and I'm starting to feel a little badly about this. I will repeat it for the fifth time, Kevin McHale never won defensive player of the year in the NBA.

http://www.nytimes.com/1985/05/27/sports/mchale-celtic-who-gives-rivals-fits.html

Published: May 27, 1985: ''ASK any coach,'' says Chuck Daly of the Detroit Pistons, ''and he'll tell you that the first thing on any Celtic scouting report is to watch out for McHale, not Larry Bird.''

If that sounds surprising, it shouldn't be. After four mediocre playoff seasons, Kevin McHale, the 6-foot-10-inch forward who earns $1 million a year, has emerged as a major force in the Boston Celtics' bid to become the first team since 1969 to repeat as champion."

Emphasis on May 27, 1985 and the time of McHale's emergence. March to June 1985, then the 1986 season until he hurt his Achilles. A very short period of time.

That being said, Charles Barkley, Hubie Brown, Chuck Daly and even Larry Bird do not disagree with what I said earlier.

---------

"He became the most difficult low-post player to defend -- once he made the catch -- in the history of the league," contended former NBA coach Hubie Brown in the Boston Globe. "He was totally unstoppable because of his quickness, diversification of moves and the long arms that gave him an angle to release the ball over a taller man or more explosive jumper."

Already replied to this above.

As for Chuck Daly, go on thinking you know more than him.

You have to be a weak-minded individual to engage upstater about the Patriots.

I used to be a humble, rational thinking fan but after this off season of constant whining from the people who actually believed any of this nonsense I am now none of those things...

Everyone sucks but the Pats. Brady should be our new god and any football game not involving the Patriots is dirty brown water trash.

He is back to arguing against himself....
He argues against himself, is wrong about everything he is stating as facts for McHale's career, changes the timeline and is still wrong about everything McHale accomplished. Argues with himself some more and then keeps saying I know more or think I know more than Chuck Daley. This is what it's like having a discussion with a crazy person.

All wrong again.

1. The facts that were wrong were sourced and I showed you the link where I got them.
2. The timeline was provided by you guys when you posted my original post from the other thread, and that timeline was, "for a period in 1985" and "1985 finals."
3. Chuck Daly and Hubie Brown said the same things.
4. You are a liar because you always deliberately twist things just like you do in every argument concerning the Patriots. You have no shame.

And as recently as the Kansas City game, for some reason the Chiefs headsets were broken intermittently during the game. Not the first time Patriot opponents had difficulties with their communications during important games.

But ignore that smoke there is no fire.

hahaha... you're such an idiot when you attempt to talk about this stuff. give it up, or just admit that you have zero idea what you're talking about.
