Decommitted from BCU, never really considered Uconn, Rutgers was second choice. That being said, I like our current TE commits, best of luck to Isaacs.
I wonder if Edsall gave him the ole "will you still be committed in January when the new coaching staff comes in?" sell.
Why is Edsall still recruiting kids committed elsewhere? Doesn't he know the meaning of the word "commit"?
I remember last year Isaacs said that he really liked UConn but he wanted to go out of state for college. Can't really fault a kid for that.
Other schools will probably still use that pitch on him now that he's "committed" to the Good Ship Edsall.
Funny, I remember UConn losing out on Pantale in 2008 (I think UConn was in his top 3) and having to settle for a low rated 2-star (5.2 rating) kid who was better known on the hoops court in new Hampshire. Now Ryan Griffin is on the verge to an All-BE season and a projected 4th or 5th round draft pick in the NFL. A quick google search has him rated as the 5th and 9th best this season.
Heh: Isaacs says his flip to Maryland was "purely academics". BC isn't as good as Maryland. https://twitter.com/BrianDohnScout/statuses/235368333380288513
story time: back in time, a long time ago, a poster on the BY said that a player was using bc as a safety for something else. spaz was ok with it and bc fans thought he was a troll. the player then did what the poster said after getting the good news. the end
Gotta wonder? Was it that he wanted to be part of the high octane Randy Edsall Passing Attack? Maybe the kid is just a blocker (a converted tackle) who is limiting his exposure as a receiver.
