Still shaking my head over UNC v UCONN last night. UNC is more talented than demonstrated. Where's the team that took Maryland to OT?

She shouldn't be puzzled after how UConn has beaten UNC the last two years. Also after last night's game UNC strength of schedule is 214 and have an RPI of 146. Conversely UConn's strength of schedule is 7th with an RPI of 5. That's after UConn played Holy Cross, FDU, Towson and Buffalo. UNC was not ready to play UConn because their OOC schedule doesn't prepare them for the likes of UConn.

If last night was any indication of how UNC plays, they're endanger of not making the tournament.

Hard to believe Hatchel still has a job. And I bet she gets in the 1/2 mil a year range. It is interesting that Geno kicked UNC to the curb to play Maryland instead even when he thought there were shenanigans going on when he lost Harper to Brenda. The fact is in the last 4 years, UNC hasn't provided any more competition than Holy Cross or Fairfield. They have become a cupcake.

Lets see... UNC is 12-5. Remaining schedule includes away games vs Duke... at Miami, at Maryland, at FSU, at NCSU... and home games against NCSU, GaTech, UVA, and Duke on Senior Day. The only 3 sure fire wins I see on their schedule are Boston College, at Wake, and at VPI. I can definitely see 7 more losses before the ACC tourney starts. They are hosting the first two rounds of the NCAA tourney this year as well. It would be straight comedy if UNC fails to make the tourney.. and they send Duke to play its first 2 games in Chapel Hill :p

So what does that say about Maryland? I watched that game and UNC ran zero offense for the last 10 minutes of that game and all of the overtime. Maryland was down 12 iirc and won by about 7. Maryland outscores UNC by 20 over the last 15 minutes. Peck didn't see this comming? I did and im a IT tech!!!!

The game four years ago was very, very competitive; a great MLK day game. The last great MLK day game.

Coach Hatchell still has a job because she has consistently produced very good teams at Carolina. Carolina is only three years removed from being an undefeated #2 team in the country on MLK Day.

Whatever Coach Hatchell earns at Carolina, she has earned it.

I just get the feeling that Ms. Peck hates UConn...the only times she says anything positive, she has a look on her face like she's having a root canal.

Peck was a assistant coach for the vols when they lost to Geno and Uconn with lobo and Rizzotti in 1994/1995. I think it still sticks in her claw. She also attended Vandy. She is a homer if ever there was one!!!!
