In the Sweet Sixteen in 2014, UConn did not have a great game [< 40% FG, and 3 of 19 3s]. BYU's big, Jen Hamson, had 9 points, 13 boards, and 6 blocked shots. UConn led 30-29 at the half. BYU's Jeff Judkins, with 23 years of experience in the NBA and college playing and coaching was 9 points back with 9:41 left. And, yes, then BYU ran out of gas and yes, senior Jen Hamson was in foul trouble and UConn won by 19.
In 2015, Imani McGee-Stafford [6' 7" junior] and Kelsey Lang [6' 5" soph] have had games-of-their-lives since high scorer Enemkpali's season-ending injury. They can repeat [as Kelly Schumacher did in the 2000 final]. Karen Aston has worked with both Mulkey at Baylor and Jody Conradt at Texas. She has 30 years of playing and coaching experience. She's made the right adjustments this season and can make them Saturday vs UConn.
This has the potential for being a hot game. Just sayin'.
