I was prepared to be disappointed, but I think Vince Gilligan stuck the landing. Absolutely fantastic. Tied up all the loose ends - as promised - and did it in a way that was true to the characters and the series.

made sense, would have been weak had Jessie and him made up or his son ended up forgiving him. I honestly thought that it would end somehow with him dying or going to jail but getting his family and jessie off any charges.

Personally, if he liked it so much, I would have moved to the Czech Republic and become a meth lord there while receiving treatment.

I agree. He seem mentally prepared to die. The lung cancer had really gotten to him physically and he was not satisfied with a life on the run. He could have slipped away, but he had lost the will to live.

Realistic? Of course not. The show never was. What it was was highly entertaining!!! From start to finish.

I liked the finale a lot, ending was a little too happy for the show's overall tone but vastly superior to do that versus leaving issues unresolved.
