You're all thinking it. Might as well say it.

James Coley!

C'mon man... absent two years as a GA @ LSU - he's never been out of the State of Florida. Whta's going to interest him in UConn - the money or conference affiliation.

How about UConn making an effort never before seen and going out and getting the best coach possible and stop making excuses every time a Petrino, Rich Rod, Mike Leach or anyone else is mentioned.

I don't believe that Petrino would be in our sites but I have had a gut feeling for a while that his next job will be at Memphis.

I again want Cristobal (the guy I wanted in Jan 2011). That he told Rutty go piss up a rope last year makes him more desirable in my eyes.

Cristobal's team is beyond horrendous. They were putrid this week. They were the preseason favorite and stink.

This one is easy for me.

If Petrino were ever to become UCONN's football coach I would cancel my season tickets and not honor my pledge. That man is devoid of any moral compas and leaves every place he has been worse off than when he arived. People need to look at his behavior at Louisville, the Atlanta Falcons and Arkansas more closely.

Don't tempt us. Petrino would put the excitement back into the excitement that is now totally missing from UConn football under Paul Pasquazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Petrino is a horrible example for players, and if I were a recruit's parent I wouldn't even let him come into my house. He has shown a complete disregard of his players, a complete disregard of the schools he has been in, and a complete disregard to his family.

I have trust that Herbst and Manuel won't even give him a call.

I think my position is very clear.

I have no idea what your point is.....assuming you have one.

Who's the coach at Western Michigan?
Bill Cubit

He knows the Big East, too.

Prior to returning to Kalamazoo in 2004, Cubit served as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Stanford University. He coached the quarterbacks for two seasons (2003-04) and served as the Stanford offensive coordinator as well in 2004. In 2004, Cubit directed a Cardinal offense that ranked 28th in NCAA passing (247.3 yards per game). Prior to his stint in Palo Alto, Cubit served as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Rutgers University (2001-02). He also worked as offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach under Larry Smith at Missouri during the 2000 season.

And this...

In his first stint with the Broncos, Cubit oversaw an offense that ranked in the NCAA Top 25 for passing offense, scoring offense and total offense in back-to-back seasons. The Brown & Gold were the nation’s 20th-highest scoring team in 1998, averaging 32.7 points per game, and the nation’s 23rd-highest scoring squad in 1999, producing 31.1 points per game.
