I think it was Briahanna Jackson of UCF. 6-10 on 3 ptrs, 11-22 overall, 28 points, albeit 8 turnovers. Unfortunately, I believe she quit the team right after our game. any other candidates?

How about Chelsea Gray of Duke? I thought she was the one that at least game them an idea of a chance and the only one that looked like she was ready to play all out.

No one came within 11 points of UConn this year. No one other than Baylor came within 17 points. No one other than Louisville came within 25 points in AAC play. With all due respect to the kids, it's going to be hard to point out a stellar indivual performance. But maybe I can give a shoutout to Ariel Hearn (sp?) of Memphis? She got 20 in the first meeting between Memphis and UConn.

There were a number of players who had nice individual numbers first time around against Uconn in the first half of the season - then the defense really kicked in and I can't think of anyone in the last couple of months. Jackson certainly stood out both by shooting a high percentage and scoring a lot of points. I do wonder what happen there and whether she will resurface somewhere else down the line.

I was impressed by Nina Davis's efficient 11 points and 17 rebounds against UConn. Maybe I'm biased toward guard-sized players who rebound as well as she does, though. ;)
