For those who complained about our bracket, we will be going through a #10 seed to the FF. All the other #1s have to face a 2 or a 3 seed.
Just sayin'.
This doesn't seem to measure-up as your normal #10 seed. Just saying.

The interesting thing about this #10 Oregon team is during the first round, they beat #7 Temple (in Durham, NC) by 1 point, 71-70. Just think how different the bracket may have played out if Temple won that game. They would have played Duke next. Does Temple beat the #2 seed Duke?

Regardless of their seeding, Oregon has shown they can play ball. They "will not go softly into that good night"... I believe there will be a battle for a good portion of the game, or at least the first half. I don't see them starting off against us like Q-pac did agains So Carolina... In Geno (and staff) we trust!!! GO Huskies!!!!

This is why you deserve as a #1 in both AP and Coaches polls.

Sorry, I thought the sarcasm was blatantly obvious. Those quotes represent a few teams fans over the past week or so.

"That's the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered #10 seed you ever set eyes on!"

Reality check: Connecticut is in a bracket where the #2 seed didn't even make it to the Sweet 16 (granted, injury, but still...) and the #3 seed didn't make it out of the Sweet 16, both beaten by a #10 seed that finished 23-13 (8-10 in conference). This was a by any measure the softest bracket, as befits the top overall seed.

It's just next up. Fans worry about the relative strength of the rankings, while champions just get ready for the next game....and the next hot team....and the next bad ref call...and the next bad shooting night....and the next injury...one game at a time....taking on all comers, all the time. Who remembers years later who was in your bracket? you just think about going on 6 one-game winning streaks and then you have a banner, and you forget completely who was in your bracket.

This is a riot. Those of you who are bitchin' and moanin' that UConn's bracket is softer than the rest are undoubtedly very naive and without foundation. In reality UConn's bracket was actually the toughest. Why? Because it included the #3 or #4 best team in the country according to USA Today and AP 3/13/17 ratings. That team was Maryland and had they been victorious vs. Oregon, not a peep would have been sounded. But since Oregon (an unranked, 10th seed) won, the bracket must be soft. At tourney time, better yet game time, national rankings and bracket seeds mean absolutely nothing. It's win or go home. Oregon is this years Cinderella team (generally speaking we have at least one every year). No one gave them much of a chance, but they beat the 9th ranked team in the country (Duke), and then Maryland.
