Jere Longman is, IMHO, the finest writer in sports today. His prose is so beautiful that I used to read his articles to my kids when they were younger.

He's not a regular beat writer. Writes about subjects he chooses. But it's a pleasure to read his prose!

Article probably gives a clue as to Geno's future plans. Says he can see himself coaching five more years. That would be through 2025 and, fingers crossed, Fudd's senior season.

GREAT ARTICLE!!!!! I watch the Paige Bueckers video again and she is GOOD, no question, BUT it is not fair to Diana or to Paige to make comparisons at this time. Let's wait and see how Paige's career plays out before comparing her to the best woman basketball player in the world.

Best line "As long as we're in, we've got a shot". No truer words were ever spoken.

Agree that he's great but Roger Angell is still alive. Jere is also a nice guy. Met him at Gampel once; he saw me reading a paper copy of the Times before a game and stopped to thank me :)
