Anyone watch Californication?

was over a friend and he put on and seemed very cool and we watched some episodes.

Tempted to go back on Netflix and watch from the beginning.

Duchovny is great.

If it's your type of material, then it's well worth it. Good writing. Themes are repetitive, but doesn't really get dull imo. It's a good one to relax to, and at less than a half hour an episode, you can rip off 3 in a row no problem.

Duchovnys partner is hilarious.

Runkle is a great character and I really enjoyed the show. It grew tired by the last two seasons but the rest were great.

It is funnier if you take some breaks between watching it. It is very repetitive, and becomes Benny Hill-ish at times in that it is sometimes simply gratuitous sex and silliness. The season with Carla Cugina was the worst season of the show. Other times it is pretty good. I would give it a B or B- overall.
