I'd say out of all 4 teams he spoke about the UConn one seemed to be the least glowing. But I've learned over the years that most of the time this means nothing.

Ya and Kofi Cockburn made it seem like he was visiting Illinois as a pity visit because they put in a lot of time with him. Trying to read into the lines is one way to mess with your head.

Caveating as always no insider info, but the article states Cuse as the clubhouse leader but I gotta think the longer this goes on the less likely he goes there. He grew up not far from there, he visited officially already. If he was sold on them he would have committed already IMHO (just thinking back to Kofi recently who UConn was supposed leader for and he visited only for it to drag out well past his visit).

I am not an insider with sources by any means. Just hear things at tournaments from coaches I interact with.

I can say for certain we are looking very good at mininum. Cuse is NOT in the driver's seat.

Joe Girard played for the Albany Rocks with Jackson and is going to ‘Cuse as a MacNamara recruit. Already talking about a local bus co. Making regular trips to Syracuse. Could pick up Jackson crowd in Amsterdam, Jackson’s hometown.

All Chief can say at the moment is that there are some outstanding recruits in the Northeast the next couple of years and rather than looking at the micro specifics right now of each player - look for a major paradigm shift to change the conversation. At that time, Chief will do some player specific deep dives.
