I think the ACC winners will be UNC, Notre Dame, Ga Tech, Florida State, NC State, Duke, Syracuse & Virginia. The Big 10 winners will be Maryland, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

So 9 ACC winners and 3 B10 winners constitutes "evenly matched"? If this is the best in your memory it must have been horrible in past years.

Evenly matched meaning most of the games are toss-ups in my opinion. If i had money to bet... I would only put money on Duke, ND, Maryland, and probably Florida State.

Maryland is still ACC. That is why they play Ohio State.

When the three best teams are in one conference, there is no balance. I'm not much interested in the mid-range and bottom of the conferences. The B10 will improve but it might be 2 years till then.

I actually see it as pretty even (I think the ACC is the stronger league, but these matchups could make it a draw). The ACC winners I see as ND, GT, Fl. St., Duke, and MD. I could see the B10 winners as IN, NW, WI, IA and NE). The Duke, ND, and MD teams are big favorites in their games, but most of the others are pretty even.

Virginia Tech at Indiana - this isn't last year's VT team.
NC State at Northwestern - both teams are showing life this year
Nebraska at North Carolina - both teams suffered recent unexpected setbacks.

For the reasons above, I wouldn't want to call these games, and Michigan St. @ Fl. State could be tight too. The other 8 I agree with the consensus.

If Wisconsin can hold onto its lead... then the Big 10 will end up in a tie. I have given up hope that Miami can mount any sort of a comeback vs Minnesota.
