Speaking of Jewell Loyd, I wonder if this trend of players leaving early will start to seap more into the women's game? I hope not, but you never know with the new generation of kids coming through and a bit of an increase in potential earning power both in the WNBA and overseas.

Yeah if she is as good as advertised, definitely. She can say she plans to use her full eligibility all she wants, but Loyd said the same thing 5 minutes before deciding to leave early.

I normally don't follow the WNBA too closely but didn't the season just start? Already with the All-Star balloting?

2015 WNBA all-star game is July 25th roughly a month away so yes balloting has to start now. WNBA season is only a few months long. The reason Stewie probably forgot and Orangutun point is for the rest of the entire world basketball season is November-April (June at the latest for NBA). WNBA is the outlier with a summer schedule.

Except for the basketball games that are going on right now in Europe...
