The Hockey News came out with a list of the top 75 players to watch in college hockey.

9. Tage Thompson, UConn (STL) – Amazing summer world junior camp propels Thompson up the charts. Hopefully he keeps crashing the net upon his return.

15. Adam Huska, UConn (NYR) – Scintillating goaltender was masterful in USHL; now joins a Huskies squad with a European flavor.

42. Max Letunov UConn (SJ via ARI via STL) – Rights already traded twice, but talented and smart center has the type of potential all teams covet.

The writer does state the list does skew toward NHL prospects. I don't understand how there is a gap of 33 places between Thompson and Letunov, however.

Thomason had a very good international tourney. That accounts for him being rated so highly.

I thought Thompson and Letunov both played very well this past weekend against UAH. They both looked stronger on the puck than last year. It will be fun to watch them improve their games over the course of the season. It will be interesting to see what kind of contribution Huska makes to the team this year.
