The pressure to win at top schools is incredible. Michigan State, Nebraska, Wisconsin....all expect to be top teams in the B1G 10-Most Wisconsin fans want Jim Leonhard to be permanent coach. The budgets at these Universities are multiple times bigger than UConn's. Chryst might know football but his personality was as dry as parmesan cheese
Not good to be parmesan cheese in the land of 57 varieties of cheddar...fyi, if you're ever in Wisconsin, gotta have cheese curds!

$11.4 million buyout for Dorrell per contract…

When you are the school that has to give Karl Dorrell a huge buyout to take the position, you should strongly consider being more patient with the next hire because you clearly aren’t a destination job.

Wisconsin would probably be the best landing spot for Rhule. Nebraska has too high of expectations and GT doesn't seem like a good fit for his coaching style.

Didn’t Wisconsin just fire a guy with a 71% winning percentage in the middle of the season for losing to Illinois?

Badgers fired Chryst because they were terrified Leonhard would get away from them. Had to fire Chryst when they did because the rest of their schedule is pretty soft & winnable, leaving them in the position of either firing a coach who just went 9-3 or losing Leonhard.

Think they'll stick w/Leonhard unless he really doesn't succeed and he's being put in a position to succeed.

Wow many people on this site wanted him hired for our job. Shows you fast things can change in the sport.

For reference, he lost to FIU 34-15 at home yesterday (it was 34-0 after 3). The same FIU we thrashed on the road…
People tend to love the "young" head coach believing they're all headed to greatness and want them to make a pit stop at their school on the way there. I admit I fall for that myself.

I thought he’d be a great fit for us - needing an infusion of youth. I also never imagined getting a Jim Mora Jr. level coach. Glad to be wrong on both fronts.

Current South Carolina DC/former UConn RB Coach/STC Clayton White gets a mention.

Charlotte: Don't care at all about the school, but any prospective quality portal transfers? Example: guys UConn may have recruited.
