He must be able to command respect off the ice or in practice with his stats.

With Richter signing a pro contract, the graduation losses of Pauly, Ferris, and Kirtland and incoming forwards Freeman and Payusov, the 2016-17 roster currently only has 12 forwards on it.

Staff needs some summertime magic like last year. Does the staff bring in Garin for 2016?

With the commitment of Newpower, the defensemen total is at 9.

4 goalies on the roster.

Not 100% positive but I believe Segalla has left the program. Poor performance last season and never lived up to a fourth round pick.

Outside of Adam Huska, the incoming recruiting class will rank near the bottom of Hockey East. Disappointed the coaching staff could not capitalize on the recruiting trail with Letunov and Thompson on the roster. Needed a couple top six forwards to come in. Lackluster recruiting year.

During the season it seemed as though it was a possibility. Seemed like he was not a favorite of Coach Cav. The suspension during the year did not help.

Yeah you have that right...although at the end of the season he was playing well...and stood up for his teammates when they were push around by the older teams like QU.

First real "big time" recruit. Sort of disappointing to see it end this way. As a freshman you could see he was another level of player but didn't seem to progress.

It's college hockey. It's easier to add players than in the NHL sometimes. Didn't BC add 3-4 guys from their minor league team last year midway through the season.

They added a couple of goalies, but they were only emergency backups because of injury. Basically, if you're adding players midseason, you're not doing well and/or you've had major injury. The options usually aren't great.

Yeah if you're bringing guys up from your ACHA club team... you've got some potential issues. :)

Hockey's such a funny thing. The ACHA DII Nationals were at my daughter's rink this year. I was surprised how many D-I programs also had an ACHA DII team. It's like if UConn basketball had a NAIA basketball program that played out of Gampel on their off nights.

Players showing up without advance notice at this time of year are usually from overseas. Always iffy if they can be cleared which is why they are not usually announced prior. Start of the spring semester too.
