Bottom 7th, first 2 batters reach base (double and a walk) against Coe, who then comes out of the game. Afthim comes in to pitch.

After a sac bunt, a sac fly gives St. Johns the lead at 8-7. Afthim gets another fly out for the final out of the inning.

Bottom 8th, with 1 out and 2 singles in a row, Morton throws out a runner for the 2nd out trying to stretch his single into a double. With a runners at 1B and 3B after an intentional walk, Afthim comes out of the game, and Willis comes in to pitch.

A double brings in a run to make it 9-7 St. John's. Another intentional walk puts 2 runners on base. A strikeout ends the inning.

One thing Chris Jones has mentioned more than once is that run production is up all over college baseball this season, he is not sure of the reason.

Top 9th, Broadhurst with a 2 out double, but that is it for UConn offense for the game, St. John's wins 9-7. UConn does take this road series, so that is certainly a good thing.

I would guess Stephen Quigley will get the start on Monday against Central Connecticut. Not sure who will start at this point on Tuesday against Bryant, guessing that it could very well turn into a staff game.
