Women’s Hoops Buzz

A source tells me that the UConn women’s basketball team will play “at least once” at the Webster Bank Arena, formerly The Arena at Harbor Yard) in Bridgeport during the 2013-2014 season. This is the same venue that is the site of this year’s NCAA Eastern Regional. Shoreline fans have long been clamoring for a game to be played in their part of the state and the University must have heard them. Webster Bank Arena is a very nice venue that’s easy to get to for those traveling from other parts of the state and, yes, you can get a beer there. It’s unknown which opponent(s) might be played there.
